There would be nearly infinite outdoor opportunities. Trails could be developed for activities like trail running, cross‐country skiing, or for just a walk in the woods. The forest could actively managed for the production of forest products. Other towns have used wood from their town forests for flooring for their town hall, or for firewood for residents in need.  The forestland and beaver ponds could be used as an outdoor classroom for students at the Westford School.  In large part, it will be up to the Town and its citizens to shape the use and restrictions of our Town Forest and Community lands.  The forest/community land will have a legal conservation easement placed on it that will require uses be consistent with the continued health of the forest and that the land continue to be open to the public to enjoy.
