The stone wall that surrounds the 42‐acre farmland is intended to be protected and preserved and the framework of achieving a reasonable level of such is to be worked out. In the past, clearing of encroaching brush, has been done by bands of spirited volunteers willing to help the highly regarded farmer Bob Jackson, culminating in a picnic.  We hope to foster such community spirit and in the long term ingratiate all future generations of Westfordians to recognize the herculean effort and skill it took our pioneering ancestors to build such an enduring wall and to put some sweat equity into maintaining the wall for future generations to enjoy.
